OUR MISSION
To empower young people and communities through climate justice, SRHR advocacy,
mental health awareness, and gender equity education, creating lasting change across
Uganda.
OUR VISION
A just, inclusive, and resilient society where every young person has the knowledge, voice,
and opportunity to thrive and protect their environment.
OUR STORY
In the early 2020s, young people in Uganda faced big challenges: climate change hurt farming, health information was scarce, and gender inequality held many back. A group of passionate youth came together in 2023 to create DDAMU Community Foundation—a youth-led organization to tackle these issues.
Starting with small school discussions, DDAMU grew into a movement, teaching eco-leadership, health rights, and mental health support. They believed young people could drive real change, not just wait for help. Today, DDAMU empowers hundreds of youth to build a fairer, healthier future for Uganda.
